We love our land. We love travel, art, music and meeting people, and we strive to share this passion through our hospitality.
It was from this philosophy that Borgo Romantico was born in 2019: our Country Wine Relais in Cavaion, nestled among the hills of the Veronese side of Lake Garda.
At the heart of a large organically farmed estate 100% powered by green energy.

The Borgo


Borgo Romantico is the result of the meticulous restoration of an early 19th-century country residence, set within a large estate in the Garda hills where vines and olive trees are cultivated using organic methods, enhanced by cypress and maritime pine trees.


Opened in 2019 and powered entirely by green energy, the property offers 24 rooms, a beautiful swimming pool, extensive green spaces and a magnificent portico where guests can enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine. Facilities also include Finnish saunas, a wine bar, a tasting room and a meeting room, which also serves as a photographic gallery. We don't have a restaurant on site, but there are two excellent restaurants within walking distance.

The Estate


The Borgo Romantico estate is located in the village of Cavaion and includes extensive vineyards where grapes are grown for Bardolino and Chiaretto DOC wines, as well as several high-quality IGT wines. More than 270 olive trees also produce an excellent Garda DOP extra-virgin olive oil.
Our wines carry the "Le Tende" label, named after the locality where the winery and our other vineyards are situated.

Since 2012, we have chosen organic farming methods because they are more respectful of the land, consumers and local wildlife.

Sustainability


For our Relais, we have embraced both environmental and energy sustainability.We operate using 100% green energy through photovoltaic panels, heat pumps, LED lighting and smart building technology. And we've been farming organically since 2012.

To reduce the use of water, detergents and polluting waste, complimentary bed linen and towel changes are provided every three days, or whenever a guest checks out. At the swimming pool, we kindly ask guests to use their own towel; if you do not have one, our bath towels are available for purchase at the special prices of €6.00 or €10.00.

Why “Romantico”


Those who arrive at our Green Wine Relais and walk along the avenue of olive trees immediately breathe in a special atmosphere of beauty. Yet "Romantico" means much more to us. It means being your guide, pouring you a glass of wine, sharing good music, passing on our experience and sharing with you the things we love. It means being ourselves so that you can truly feel at home.


To preserve the atmosphere and keep the commitments we promise, we also need your help. For example, we kindly ask you to drive slowly on the property, not leave children unattended, avoid noisy activities and games, and help us reduce the consumption of water, energy and waste.
